Telehealth

  • How can I continue care if I can't go to the office?

To make a new appointment, simply call our office at 910-796-3212 and our staff will determine the best and safest way to ensure you get the health care you need.

  • What kind of equipment do I need in order to do a Telehealth Video visit?

Any smartphone (iPhone or Android), tablet or laptop/desktop computer will work. You need access to the internet as well as a device with a camera and microphone. We will either send a text message to your phone with a link to a video chat or we will send an email to your tablet, computer, or laptop with a link to video chat with Dr. Gutsin. Remember, some older computers may not have a camera - so please check before starting the visit. If you don’t have access to any one of those things, we might not be able to treat you using video; however, we may still be able to provide care over the phone depending on your condition and what type of visit your insurance allows.

Please be sure to have the VIDEO and MICROPHONE switched ON before the call.

  • What will I have to pay?

Normal visit charges apply; all copays, coinsurances and deductibles will be collected at the time of service by a team member.

Every health insurance company is different; however, many companies are still covering Telehealth visits as the pandemic continues. Please call the number on the back of your insurance card to verify that Telehealth is a covered benefit at the time of your appointment. If your visit is denied by your insurance, you will be financially responsible to pay the bill.

  • What happens the day of my telehealth visit?

First, we will call you to confirm your address, confirm insurance and collect your copay, coinsurance or deductible for the visit. Next, you will be transferred to a Medical Assistant who will verify medications and assess your concerns for this visit. Once those parts are done, Dr. Gutsin will send you a text message or an email with a link so that you can see one another on video!

                                                                                             Just like that, magic!

  • What if I do not want to get care via Telehealth and would prefer to come in?

Your safety and the safety of our staff is our number one priority. Depending on your situation, you will be offered a face-to-face visit or a visit via the phone or video chat. The CDC requires all patients and staff wear face masks for all in-office appointments. We keep up-to-date with all Covid policies and update the website frequently. Please call the office at 910-796-3212 if you have a question that hasn’t been answered here.

  • How can I request prescription renewals?

The best way to get prescription refills is by keeping your appointment. Between appointments, for documentation and reimbursement purposes, it is best to send a message through your portal.
